Attorney Nina Greene is a partner at the Miami office of Genovese, Joblove & Battista, P.A., and practices in the areas of franchise, trademark and complex commercial litigation. Greene has represented franchisors throughout the United States in matters involving protection of trademarks, intellectual property rights, franchise terminations, discrimination claims, covenants not to compete, unfair competition, business torts and many other issues. She has lectured on numerous franchise topics, including the impact on franchise litigation of the 2015 amendments to the discovery rules in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, enforcing covenants not to compete in franchise agreements, how to handle issues that arise when the franchisor and franchisee are on the same side of a case, and material defaults of franchise agreements, as well as presenting the Judicial Update for the International Franchise Association’s Legal Symposium. Additionally, Greene is the chairperson for the South Florida Chapter of the Women’s Franchise Network of the IFA and is a member of the IFA Supplier Forum Advisory Board. She is also a committed volunteer and chairperson for all Advisory Boards in the United States for Best Buddies, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Greene earned her LL.M. in taxation from Temple University School of Law, her juris doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and her bachelor of arts from the University of Pennsylvania.
